From a very early age, Matthew demonstrated
a strong creative drive and spent much of his time experimenting
with various tools and materials to make all manner of things
from toys to furniture. Over the years, his artistic abilities
developed and ranged from graphic art to design technology.
On leaving college he worked for a sign manufacturer and
then for some time in the tool hire industry at which time
he discovered the chainsaw and its potential for creating
three dimensional Art. Since then he continues to produce
ever more creations of shape and form, from works of contemporary
art to beautiful depictions of wildlife.
‘I really love my work, I am very lucky really. I work
to the very highest level I can, so each piece I do is a part
of a progression and inspires the next. I want to be impressed
by the finished result as much as the customer does.’
